Announcement

Dear readers,
I'm sorry I haven't posted anything lately. With everything that is going on in my life now (my husband getting into Wiezmann for a masters program, looking for an apartment in Rehovot and a tenant for the one in Haifa and getting ready for our long honeymoon in India), it seems like I won't be able to invest the proper time in this blog.

Again, I'm very sorry but it will have to wait.

I'll see you all in a while.

Day 18 & 19- The Fantasy Heroine and A Tribute to the 20's

Hey everyone,
For today I have a little do inspired by all these fantasy shows with half naked girls, not that I'm hinting at anything but they have cool hairdos. Anyways, there are 5 braids here (3 on one side and 2 on the other) that connect in the back.

For the second do I have a little wink at the 20's with a do:

and this is the back:

The hair band can hold the hair tighter, like this:

or more lose, like this:

Day 17- The Hair Band

Hey,
This is my hair braid (made of my own hair). It's a nice addition to any do, but today I'm wearing it with half a pony tail held by a little clip.

See you tomorrow!

Days 15 & 16 - 2 French Braids and The Inverted Heidi

Hey Ladies,
First of all I would like to apologize for not being on time with my posts. No excuses! I will try to be on time from now on.

For this post, I'm trying the feather extensions I got at Beauty Care - they came in a pack of two. I screwed up the first one because I didn't know how to put it in properly, but after a little video on YouTube I became wiser and got it in. The purple looks cute but it's pretty thin and is a little lost in my hair, still a good for the 4 nis it cost (per 2 extensions).

Going back to Bnei Brak we have the double french braid. I left my glasses on so we get the full effect :)

and this is the inverted Heidi:

It's meant to be a single braid going around but my hair is so long I have to fold it. If your hair is shoulder length it will be ideal.

and with my bangs down:

Day 13 & 14 - Side Bun and French Twist

Hi girls,
I have a few things for you today. First of all as I promised I did get a chance to use a hair product I found at my sister in law's. This is the Pantene Aqua Light Spray. It's the spray you see in the picture. This is what the description says:

"Shake up the dual formulation for a leave-in conditioning spray that is designed to leave hair detangled and manageable. This weightless nourishment also helps to protect from heat styling damage."

You can use it on wet hair as a stay in conditioner or on dry hair to refresh it, which is what I did. It did the trick. Our weather is do humid and disgusting theses days and this is just a nice little touch to make it feel nice and soft again. I will try it on wet hair some other time.

Also I got some new hair product to try from friends who are leaving for the states. I have tried the orange one which is the Naturelle Anti-Frizz. You rub a tinny little bit on wet hair. It's really good. From what I see online you can get it in the states and it's not expensive there, something like 6 USD. Lots of other products left to try, yayyy!!!

Today I went to Beauty Care, again, cause I know they change the hair accessories often, and this is what I got: some large alligator hair clips (3.8 nis), little cotton wool makeup removing sticks (3 nis), big hair clip (2 nis), hair band (1.1 nis) and nail polish: top coat, one that's meant to smooth and fill cracks and one that help nail polish dry faster (5 his each).

and there's more:

a bottle with a pump for nail polish remover (4.5 nis), face brush (3 nis), hair puff kit (7 nis), purple hair extension (4 nis) and another bun maker (2.5 nis).

I have already tried the pump and it works! It keeps the surface very clean when you remove nail polish and you waste less acetone this way. I would recommend it. I have also used the cotton wool sticks and  they definitely work. One side is pointy and the other is round and flat and so you can remove makeup easily from anywhere.

This is a bun on the side, for which I used the "bun maker". It was very easy.

This is what it looks like outside of the box:

The second do is the French Twist:

and this is the back:

I used one of the puff accessories for this (the largest one). It works and it's easy! I first heard about this from Liat, now I'm converted. It doesn't have a smooth surface so it holds very well.

Thank you Liat!

And finally, the other day at the Superpharm I saw that we have John Frieda products available but the price is mad. It's 50 nis per product so I'm probably not gonna try any of them any time soon.

Good night and speak soon.

Day 12: The Triple Twist Do and Betzalel Haul

Hi ladies,
For today I have a do and a little, well not so little, haul of the stuff I got at Shuk Betzalel today, all thanks to my husband. He is amazing at shopping and especially at suggesting items to me.
Each item was 5 nis! The skirt you see is mine (From Honigman outlet in Haifa, 20 nis).
First top:

Second top:

Third top:

Fourth top. The belt didn't come with it. It belongs to Nirit (she got it a few days ago when we went to the shekel jewelry store on King George, 1 nis):

Here I added the scarf I got at the same place (also 5 nis):

 Another top:

Yet another top (I'm wearing a pair of jeans I got at Fox outlet in Haifa for 30 nis and the bangles I got today at the shekel store 3 for 1 nis, so I got a whole bunch. Nirit got some the other day and I felt like getting some too):

Top:

Another top (Sorry, I just realized my eyes are closed in this picture):

Other tops:

And I dress from Zara!!! that I found in the same pile (also for 5 NIS):

Got both top and the skirt (each 5 nis) not a great combination but you can see the items :)

And this is the do of the day- three twists on the side:

Good night!

Day 11: Bnei Brak Chick

Hi,
This is my do for today, a big puff in the front and a raised pony tail in the back.

I was inspired to do this because I was just about to go the hair dresser who is in Ramat Gan, very close to that area. If you walk around Bnei Brak you would know it's a big thing there.

This is me before the cut:

And after:

This hairdresser is amazing, I've been going to him for years and he never disappoints me. He's quick which is an advantage and he's cheap, another advantage (70 nis). I didn't do a "fen" he only dried my hair a little with the blow dryer.

Bye,
Sima

Day 10: The Hippi Boho Braid

Hi girls,
For today we have the hippi boho look.
This is the front (I'm wearing the eye shadow from WOW):

And this is my outfit for today:

Liat decide to share her do for today with us:

If you also like to share just send me a picture and I will be happy to upload it!

About the giveaway eye shadows I got from WOW, I'm very disappointed. It got smudged after a few hours. Will not be buying this product! but at least I know that dark grey works well for me :)

For the next few days I'm staying at my sister in law. I saw she has lots of hair products around. Will try and will let you know how it goes.

And finally, going to the hair dresser tomorrow, wish me luck :)

Good night,
Sima

Day 9: A Variation on the Bouffant

Hi ladies,
For today's do I have a variation on the Bouffant or as Liat called it "The Amy Wienhouse". It's an easy one- it takes about 5 minutes.

I haven't forgotten about the tutorials I promised. I'm just waiting for my husband (you know who you are :) ) to install the program with which to film these.

Another pic:

Also, I picked up my "giveaway" from WOW today at Haifa. From what I read on their wall on Facebook I knew to expect problems. I came with the printed coupon only to find out that "the mivtza had ended" (even though the printed coupon clearly stated that it was valid until August...) but they agreed to make an exception and give me a set of eye shadows. I chose to take shades of grey. They also had browns and greens. The green didn't look very good and I already have brown. I'll try it out tomorrow and let you know.

When I was at the mall I noticed (well my husband noticed, thank you Ilan) that Laline have a few items on sale for 13 shekels each. I decided to try their lip gloss. It's the No. 5 - "Mimosa". I already opened it. It's really pleasant, not sticky at all and a little glittery, everything a lip gloss needs to be! In addition, it's got a very clean design. I love it! Well worth the 13 shekel splurge!

That's all for today.

xoxo

Days 7 & 8: The French Festival

Hi Girls,

Sorry I didn't post a do yesterday, I was busy getting ready for my exam. It wasn't too bad. Anyhow I'm happy it's now behind me.

For today I have two dos both with a french braid.
Today I'm showing the classic french braid. This is what you see here.
My back:

and the front:

I'm also wearing some new bling. I got the bracelet today when I went with Nirit to the shekel jewelry shop on King George Street in Tel Aviv.

For the second do, welcome my gorgeous model, my sister in law, Nirit. This is a modern twist on the french braid where only the top part of the head is braided and the rest is gathered into a pony tail.
You can see it in these picture. The front:

and the back:

Also, we have a picture of the lucky winner of the giveaway wearing her present. Liati, you are beautiful!

And finally, we have a reader who posted her anti-frizz solution on Facebook and I'm just coping it here. Vera says:

"I wash my hair and while it is wet put in John Freida Frizz Ease Dream Curls Conditioner (from boots) and spray in some Freida Frizz Ease Dream Curls Styling spray."

From what I saw John Freida products are available world wide, but not in Israel, so it's for all you curly readers around the world. Check out this solution and let us know! Thanks Vera!

Don't forget your coupon for Wow. I'm not a big fan of their products but it's never to late to change your mind. Go get your gift and tell us about it.
